Applying for Training & Education Funding
- Apply in writing to CASA for sponsorship to attend training events. Either by Canada Post (Box 73 Salmon Arm BC V1E4N2) or email (
) and include specifics about the event topics and how they will directly benefit your ability to perform your caregiving duties.
- Inform CASA of the total cost of the event (including accommodation, travel and respite costs) and clearly indicate what portion the funds provided by CASA would cover and which portion the individual caregiver is providing.
- Commit to training other caregivers on the material you learned. CASA will arrange the opportunity for other caregivers to gather to hear the teaching presentation (generally at the quarterly membership meetings in Salmon Arm)

- Provide receipts for actual monies spent.
- At the next CASA executive meeting the training and education committee will present your application to the executive members for discussion and a vote to determine the level of funding CASA will provide.
